Mt. Balagbag: A Day-Hike at the Summit ᨒ
Welcome to Mount Balagbag, a hidden gem in
Rodriguez, Rizal that offers an unforgettable outdoor adventure for nature lovers
and hikers. With its picturesque hiking trails, breathtaking scenic views, and
a lot of opportunities to reconnect with nature, Mount Balagbag has become a
popular day trip destination for locals and tourists like me. So, start
planning for your next hiking adventure and get ready to embark on an exciting
journey surrounded by the beauty of nature.
How to get there?
From EDSA Cubao northbound, take a bus going to
Tungko, Bulacan. The cost is around P50 or more. Get off at the Tungko Jeep
Terminal. You can take a jeepney ride to Licao-Licao. Jeepney fare is P32. The
estimated travel time is 2.5 hours. Jeepney bound to Licao-Licao will not leave
the terminal unless the maximum number of passengers are met. After that, you will
ride a tricycle to get in the jump-off point.
I appreciated the hidden gems in this place.
Seeing the mountains with fresh eyes leave me in awe. That was so beautiful
beyond words can describe. This area of Rizal is sure to give you an inspiring
viewpoints. Sitting under the trees and enjoying the calm and peaceful
environment up above the mountains is different experience for me. I am a beach
lover but now I know why other people prefer mountains than beaches.
We enjoyed our Mount Balagbag experience for a
cheap budget, we create memories that we will treasure for a long time.
Sometimes the healing therapy we need is not the medicine, but the people we
want to share our story, the new places we want to visit, the nature waiting
for us to appreciate her, and the laughter we shared with the people who means
a lot to us. Those are the valuable things that matter. Those are the medicines
we need to survive during our weakest moments.
It was a really fun and tiring day. My legs hurt big time but I must say, every sweat is worth it. The view from the summit is superb. And I think this is one of the reasons why mountains are awesome. And as the saying goes, "It's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves." Cheers to more mountain adventure in the future.
